After graduating high school in Jacksonville, Alabama he enlisted in the US Army in 1954. Upon completion of Basic Training, Bill was assigned to the 508th Airborne Regimental Combat Team. There he learned how to safely exit an aircraft while in flight, and then he was sent on to Japan. After returning from Japan, he met Beverly J. Cevering from Ogden, Utah. They were married in the family chapel on December 16, 1956 in Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
Bill joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on January 1, 1950. He served in several church positions. Bill would say of himself that he wasn't a perfect man or father, but the love he felt for his family was as perfect as it could be.
Bill stated about life, “spontaneous moments in my life, when I took risks, brought me opportunities of learning and experiences I don’t regret”. After dipping his toe in many employment ponds, in 1970 Bill felt he had an interest in the food industry. From managing a Fish ‘n Chips restaurant to spending the last 15 years of employment working with his son, Chris, as a food broker, he finally retired from work at the age of 80.
Bill and Beverly had five children: Chris (Christy) Frazier of Syracuse, Utah; Mitch (Machelle) Frazier of Poway, California; Casey (Lori) Frazier of Salt Lake City, Utah; Andrea (Jeff) Shine of Frisco, Texas; and Quinn (Amie) Frazier of Salem, Utah. They have been blessed with 14 grandchildren & 22 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother: Randy Frazier of Clearwater, Florida. Bill was preceded in death by wife: Beverly Cevering Frazier and parents: Louie and Allene.
On June 4, 2005, Bill married D’Ann Peterson in Delta, Utah, where they have made their home. This marriage brought into his life D’Ann’s two daughters: Sharee (Gene) Rogers and Niki (Steven) Bolinder; 6 more grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren who all loved Bill very much.
Following Bill’s wishes, a small family “Celebration of Life” Memorial will be held at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made in honor of Bill to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to support America’s veterans: pay.gov
