Randy James Stuart

Nov 21, 1980 — Aug 15, 2026

Ely, Nevada

Randy James Stewart, age 45, passed away unexpectedly on August 15, 2026 in Ely, Nevada. He was born on November 21, 1980 in Provo, Utah, the youngest of the five children of Richard Orval and Linda Rosella Bennett Stuart. Randy will always be remembered for his quiet and peace making spirit. As he grew up he would always step into any conflicts to champion fairness and respect. He graduated with honors from Delta High School. He then served as a dedicated worker at various jobs, until he got the opportunity to work at the mines in Ely, Nevada. That was excellent work for him, and he has stayed at that job faithfully for around 20 years.

Randy always had a positive attitude. He loved learning new things and excelled in school. He enjoyed roller-blading, and other sports like playing catch and basketball. He had a very artistic mind and loved to draw. He also learned to cook and sew. He was able to take care of any task needed.

Randy will always be remembered as kind, loving, a little bit quiet and shy, but absolutely genuine. He never failed to care for the well-being of his family. He loved spending time with everyone in his family and cherished the times working in the garden with his Grandfather or cooking in the kitchen with his Grandmother. We all lost Randy far too soon, but we will cherish our memories of him forever.

Randy is survived by his mother: Linda Stuart; brothers: Tarl, Dusty, and Richard Stuart; sister: Tresa Stuart; 7 nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father: Richard Stuart; grandparents: Lynn M. and Flavia R. Bennett; Lloyd and Lily Stuart.
