Gail Conrad Christensen

Patricia Gail Conrad Christensen, passed away peacefully in Delta, Utah, January 31, 2026 at the age of 59, after a very brief, but courageous battle with cancer. Born April 7, 1966, in Denver, Colorado. Gail was lovingly adopted at six weeks of age by Joseph Edwin and Patricia Louise Johnson Conrad, becoming one of five children; Eric, Jeni, Gail, Mark and Molly. She lived many different places as a child including Campinas, Brazil; Guadalajara, Mexico; and Vancouver, Washington. She worked in the strawberry fields in the summers, learning the value of hard work until she graduated from Columbia River High School in 1985. She attended Rick’s College in Rexburg, Idaho in 1986, during which time she wrote faithfully to her favorite missionary, Quinn Ryan Christensen.

When Quinn returned from missionary service in 1986, they continued their courtship. They were later married and sealed on June 23, 1988 in the Seattle Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Together they studied at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and moved to Delta, Utah in 1992 after graduation. Soon they had four beautiful daughters who were born and raised in Delta.

Gail had a bright, joyful personality that touched many lives. She loved making people laugh, and anyone who knew her likely has a fun memory that reflects the joy she brought into the world. Gail was incredibly supportive and always there to celebrate the accomplishments of those she loved. Found great joy in seeing people reach their goals and mark life’s milestones. There was no bigger or more passionate supporter on the sidelines of every game, concert, or school event her girls participated in. When she wasn’t supporting others or on the sideline, Gail was dedicated to her own personal growth and development and proudly completed the BYU Pathways program, an accomplishment that greatly improved her self-worth and enriched her life.

Gail loved trying many things, always actively crafting with her hands. A true ‘scrapbooking extraordinaire’, handcrafting countless memory books that will now be cherished forever. Avid reader of books and lover of music, especially artists like Toby Keith, Shania Twain, and Michael Jackson, among many others, which music frequently played at high volumes as she happily danced around and sang along. Enjoyed watching M*A*S*H, memorizing many of the lines, loved waffles, BYU sports, John Hughes films, Real Salt Lake, ice cream, spending time with her family, and babysitting her grandchildren; a role she embraced with patience and love.

Gail was a devoted wife and mother, and above all, an incredibly loving and nurturing grandmother. Being a grandma was one of her greatest joys and truly one of her callings in life. Each of her grandchildren will forever remember her for the love she gave them, and any others born who weren’t fortunate enough to know her earth-side will grow up learning and hearing stories told about how amazing she was.

Gail was a faithful covenant member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings in the Relief Society, as compassionate service leader, Young Women and Primary organizations, girls camp leader, but the crown jewel was serving in the young single-adults (YSA) branch where she served with Christlike love. She led by example as the matriarch of her family and we are grateful for her faithfulness as we find comfort in knowing we will see her again one day. Above all, Gail was a light to those who needed it most, offering kindness, warmth, and quiet strength to everyone she met. She will be deeply missed.

Gail is survived by her loving husband: Quinn Christensen; and four daughters: Emily (Joseph) Carlson, Katy (Tim Montoya) Benge, Abby (Aaron) Nelson, and Mary (Kolton) Christensen; father: Joseph (Jan) Conrad; and all her siblings. She was a proud grandmother to 7 grandchildren, whom she adored and cherished deeply. Preceded in death by mother: Patricia Conrad; and beloved son-in-law: Devin Benge.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of Gail’s life and the love she shared so freely. Funeral Services: Saturday, February 7, 11:00am, at the Delta LDS Stake Center, 125 Whitesage Ave. Viewings held at the Delta Stake Center on Friday evening, 6:00-8:00pm; and Saturday, 9:30–10:40am, prior to the service.
