Nathan A Kimball, age 58, passed away on May 4, 2026 in Delta Utah, at Millard County Care and Rehabilitation. Nathan was born on December 22, 1967, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Edgar Anderson Alder and Natalie Wickes Kimball.

Nathan was raised in Uintah, Utah and graduated from Bonneville High School. He also attended Weber State University and Salt Lake Community College. He worked for many years as a custodian at Weber State University. His favorite job was as a crossing guard in Fillmore, Utah. He loved spending time with the kids as they went to school.

Nathan married Mary Elizabeth Allred on June 11, 2007 in Eagle Mountain, Utah. They made their home in Uintah, Utah. Mary passed away in July of 2019. Nathan then moved to live with his brother, Ed Alder, in Trout Creek, Utah in 2019. In December of 2020, Nathan moved to Fillmore, Utah.

Nathan was the beneficiary of the unlimited love and selfless service of his family, neighbors and friends. Notably, the members of the Uintah 1st Ward, the Callao Branch, the Fillmore 4th Ward and the members of the North and Central areas of the AUB. They loved and served Nathan and he loved them.

Nathan loved writing, especially poetry and gospel-based stories. He wrote, and then narrated, many stories to the delight of many families. He also loved music. He especially loved playing the piano and his keyboards. His greatest joy was playing the piano and glockenspiel for prelude and postlude music in Primary. He loved the Primary children. Nathan also loved singing in choirs.

Nathan is preceded in death by his wife and parents. He is survived by his siblings: Chase (Alisa) Alder, Ed (Deana) Alder, Reuel Alder, Bill (Mechel) Alder, Colleen (Mike) Cook, Kimberly (Ray) Jellito, Cheryl (Fred) Pace, Linda Taylor, Shelly (Kelly) Van Noy, Camari (Ian) Weight, and Lynette (Gary) Wellish.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 9, at 11:00 am, at the Fillmore 4th Ward chapel, 290 East 500 South. A Viewing will be held, 10:00-10:40 am, prior to the services. Burial will be in the Alder Family Cemetery in Trout Creek, Utah.
