Marilyn Mae Murray Blanch

September 24, 1936 — January 9, 2026

Delta, Utah

Marilyn Mae Murray Blanch passed away on January 9, 2026 at her home in Delta, Utah surrounded by family. Marilyn was born on September 24, 1936 in Los Angeles, California to Karl and Eleanor Wilcox Murray. She grew up on the family farm in Abraham, Utah. She attended Hinckley Academy (high school) until her senior year, when the Academy closed and she transferred to Delta High School, where she graduated. Marilyn would be a great benefit to her high school class. She assisted with the planning and organizing of many high school class reunions and she was always in attendance. She enjoyed "catching up" and staying connected with her classmates through the many years.

Marilyn met her forever partner, Jerry Donald Blanch, when she was 13, as he moved to the house just down the road. They soon began dating and were eventually married in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on March 4, 1955.

Marilyn and Jerry spent many years working in California and lived an exciting and adventurous life. Everything from water ski shows, showing horses to riding 4-wheelers and side by sides in the roughest of areas were the activities she enjoyed most. Marilyn and Jerry were able to move back to Delta in 1974. Later she started a flower shop in Delta called “Kousins Floral” where she spent a life's work making it successful. She loved all the many connections she made with friends and family.

Marilyn was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many positions, as well as served two missions at Martins Cove where she and Jerry were able to serve with their life long friends and ski show partners.

Marilyn had three daughters: Tony (Harris), Barb (Fowles) and Janet (Loveless). She was also blessed with 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Marilyn was an excellent grandma and spent many hours playing with children, taking them on adventures and attending many sports and activities.

Our family expresses gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Intermountain Home Health and Hospice for their gentle care.
