David Richard Stemmons left this life for a higher calling on September 6, 2026 following a tragic accident. His love and influence remain boundless.
David was born on September 16, 1963. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served an honorable full-time mission in the Dominican Republic.
For 34 years he dedicated himself to Jones Paint and Glass, where he was known as a diligent, honest, and dependable employee—innovative, skilled at solving problems, and determined in the face of challenges.
He had a deep passion for rare gems and minerals and found joy in mining, exchanging, and trading within the gem world.David was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, friend, and colleague. He married Ronda Hanzlik on August 18, 2000; they were later sealed in the Timpanogos Utah LDS Temple.
David is survived by his wife: Ronda Hanzlik Stemmons; his four children: Quinn, Aubrey (Jake), Kiffon, and Brook; and their 12 grandchildren; his parents: William and Cathy Stemmons; and his siblings: Elizabeth, Daniel (Sharlee), Brent, Ben (Sabrina), Kent (Hillary), and Jared. He is also survived by his loyal sidekick: Dakota Draper. He is preceded in death by his sister: Jennifer.
A Viewing will be held on September 16, 11:00 am-12:00 noon, at the Leamington LDS Ward Building, 90 Center St, Leamington. A Luncheon and Celebration of David will immediately follow at the Leamington Town Hall, 61 Main St.
