Connie Jean Unsworth Fullmer, age 82, passed away on August 26, 2025 in Saratoga Springs, Utah. Born June 23, 1943, in Salt Lake City to William Eugene and Lilly Anderson Unsworth. Attended schools in Salt Lake City and Pocatello, and later enjoyed working for Zions Bank.
Connie took a break to raise children; her own, as well as caring for other children. Then returned to work at Bonneville Elementary, Bryant Junior High, and South High School, before retiring from the payroll department at the Salt Lake City School District. Faithfully held many callings for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints including Young Women and Relief Society President, and Gospel Doctrine teacher.
Connie met future husband, Collins Fullmer, while staying with her grandparents every summer. They married on June 26, 1964 in the Logan Temple. Raised their family in Salt Lake and then retired to Delta, where they lived for several years at their Sherwood Shores home.
Connie loved gardening (not weeding) and making her yard beautiful, traveling with friends and family, ATV riding, her beloved pets (especially her Pugs and Corgis), See's Candy, Village Baker's chocolate cake, Johnny Mathis music and a good cheeseburger. Known by her friends and colleagues as the "velvet hammer", she could tell them off without them even realizing it! Loved to shop and if she found a favorite pair of shoes, pants or shirt, she would buy one in every color! She always had a charitable project going, whether making crocheted hats to keep the homeless warm, baby blankets for new-born babies all over the world (primarily in Indian Reservations), or satin pillowcases for anyone in need (We all have them!). She was active in Delta with water walking and planning fun activities for the Senior Center. She once organized a clogging grandmas group, but had to quickly dissolve once they started having too many health issues.
After Collins developed Alzheimer's, they moved back to Sandy to care for him, and later to South Jordan to live with her daughter's family and made many wonderful neighborhood friends who were so good to her. We love and will miss our "Gigi" but can't wait to see her again someday.
