Oakley Jane Shiner

OakleyShiner2.webWith deepest sorrow, we must announce that our beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister and friend, Oakley Jane Shiner left this world unexpectedly on October 1, 2022, just one month shy of her 18th birthday. Oakley was born on November 4, 2004 in Delta, Utah to Jenny Wright (Davis) and later adopted by Jesse Shiner. She grew up and attended school in Delta.

Oakley was a lover of music, dancing and gymnastics, all of which she excelled at throughout her life. She was funny, outgoing and vivacious. Oakley was loving and fiercely loyal to her family and friends. We will always remember her infectious smile, piercing blue eyes and caring personality. Her presence in our lives will be sorely missed.

When you think of Oakley, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest.

“I ached and yearned for that imaginary place where I could finally breathe. Now I sit here with God and I am finally free”

Oakley is survived by her parents: Jenny & Randy Davis and Jesse & Sarah Shiner; siblings: Calab, McKenna, Mason and Madison; grandparents: Rob and Mary Wright and Jackie Shiner; many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends. She is preceded in death by grandfather: Steve Shiner and stepfather: Kyle Weeda.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 8, at 11:00am, at the Delta 1st Ward, 222 West 200 North. Viewings will be held Friday, 5:30-7:30pm at the Nickle Mortuary; and Saturday, 9:30-10:40am, prior to the service. Friends unable to attend are invited to view the recorded video of the Service. Burial in the Delta City Cemetery.
