Delynn Hathaway

Delynn Hathaway, age 67, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 22, 2022 at his home in Hinckley, Utah. He was born on September 13, 1954 on Todd Air Force Base in Tooele, Utah to Hoyt Purnell “Chuck” and Gayle Church Hathaway. He spent most of his childhood in Delta. He met the love of his life, Lorraine Christensen, and they were married on June 27, 1975 in Ely, Nevada.

Delynn loved to spend life in the outdoors. He loved to go fishing at Fishlake and Flaming Gorge. He loved going to the sand dunes and camping . He loved to travel, even making his way as far as China and Jamaica. He loved to build and work on cars and motorcycles. He loved to work in his garden and took great pride in keeping his yard clean and full of life. He will also be remembered for enhancing the Christmas Season with his many lights and decorations. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a great husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed.

Delynn is survived by his loving wife: Lorraine; his sons: Cody (Jovelyn) and Andrew (Emilee) Hathaway; grandchildren: Melissa, Jaywel, Kyler, Leuel, Carson, Emma, Jackson; great-grandchildren: Aliyah and Dominick. He was preceded in death by his parents: Hoyt and Gayle; and his brother: Dennis.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, April 30, at 11:00 am, at the Hinckley Cemetery. Viewings will be held on Friday evening, 6:00-8:00 pm, at the Nickle Mortuary; and Saturday, 10:00-10:40 am, at the Hinckley LDS Church before traveling to the cemetery.
