Edward "Ed" Arch Morris

EdMorris1Edward "Ed" Arch Morris, age 75, passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, July 30, 2021 in Delta, Utah.

Ed was the tenth child born to William Wesley Cole and Evelyn Morris in Delta, Utah on August 27, 1945. He was raised in Hinckley, Utah and graduated from Delta High School. Shortly after graduation, and an incident surrounding some dynamite in Hinckley, Ed enlisted in the United States Navy. He served four years as a corpsman in optometrics in several hospitals and aboard aircraft carriers in the pacific during the Vietnam war. While serving in the Navy, Ed was in a band that provided entertainment through the pacific.

After his nightclub tour, he settled down in northeast Montana as part owner and manager of The Pine Cone, a nightclub/restaurant and racquetball complex.

While performing in Wolf Point, he met Janen Corne. They were married on February 15, 1979. Ed and Janen were blessed with two sons, Josh Edward and Jarid Duane. They later divorced.

Ed spend many years in the sales field. He sold tools to ranchers and farmers and spent many years selling cars in different states. The storyline was, Ed was such a good salesman, he could sell an icecube to an Eskimo.

Storytelling came easy to Ed. He would keep you on the end of your seat just waiting for the punchline. Ed loved camping, golfing and fishing with his sons. He would sit by the campfire at family and friend reunions and sing. Everyone appreciated his talent and natural ability to entertain.

When Ed returned to the Delta area he worked for the Mosquito Abatement. He formed lasting friendships with everyone he worked with.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: John Marlow and Don, shortly after their births; brothers: Joseph Gale "Lonnie" Morris, James Wesley (Rosella) Morris, Richard Gary and Lawrence J Morris; sister: Sheral Jean Lewis and sister-in-law: JoAnn Morris. He is survived by his sons: Josh Edward (Amy) Morris and Jarid Duane (Crystal) Morris; grandaughters: Emma, Hailey, Taylor and Sadie; sister: Dorothy "Raymond" Robinson, SLC; brother: Sidney Duane Morris, Delta; sisters-in-law: Lyla Rae Morris, Delta and Connie Baker Morris, Yuma, AZ and brother-in-law: Leon Lewis.

A Celebration of his Life will be announced later.
