Velma Leona Talbot Hamilton

Velma Leona Talbot Hamilton, age 72, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in Delta, Utah on December 13, 2012 due to complications after surgery.

Leona was born in Hinckley, Utah on July 5, 1940, to Velma Bunker Talbot and Lee Asiel Talbot. She grew up in Abraham, Utah. Graduated from Delta High School. She had a very extensive career path. She also achieved a lot of different certifications for all sorts of different careers.

She was preceded in death by Lee Asiel Talbot (Father), Velma Bunker Talbot (Mother), Bonnie Kapaska (Sister), Dick Talbot (Brother), Dorothy Painter (Sister). She is survived by sisters: Jane (Doug) Johnson, Afton Petersen; and brothers: Bill (Nancy) Talbot, Arthur (Darlene) Talbot, and LeeRay (Diane) Talbot; daughters: Carla Petersen, Becky (Allen) Harris, Christy (Paul) Whalin, and Donell Orten; grandchildren: Austen Petersen, Jeremy (Nikki) Harris, Andy Harris, Cody Harris, Shawn (Heather) Harris, Stacy (Jeff) Corpron, Sirina Hooper, Tommy Hooper, Stephenie Whalin, Mandy Petersen, Devan Ivie, Simberly Turner, and Michael Turner. She has 11 great-grandchildren.

Leona enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She dearly loved fishing - many times having to be rescued by her family. She lived life to the fullest. She has left a lot of empty spots in this world, but she is watching over her family and friends from above. She will be greatly missed.
