Barbara Nell Scott Taylor, age 76, of Hinckley, Utah, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018, in Delta, Utah. She was born on March 6, 1942, in LaLuz, New Mexico, the youngest of seven children of George Ira and Mary Onelia Rice Scott. As a young girl her family moved to many places throughout the western states as her father worked with many farming operations. Barbara gained a strong sense of hard work and many farm skills that would support her throughout her life. She started her family at a young age when she married Clinton Wetterich. They later divorced.

Barbara was an excellent cook. She worked in many restaurants as a skilled cook. In 1980 she moved her family of to Delta, Utah. She worked first for the C & L Dairy; and later, many years at Baker’s Dairy. She also worked at the Rancher Café and the Cheese Plant. She eventually met her sweetheart, Glen Shelby Taylor, and they were married March 5, 1989 in Las Vegas, Nevada, joining there two families together.

Barbara loved horses, time in the outdoors and country music. She loved camping, fishing, hunting, and gardening. She was skilled at crochet and needlepoint and will always be remembered for her fearless sense of adventure.

She is survived by her daughters: Deanna Lowell, Teresa Chatwin, Joyce Peterson, Iris Taylor Geller; son: Jeremy Taylor; stepdaughters: Glenna Sweat, Linda Narzise; 28 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; brother: Jesse Scott; sisters: Katherine Onelia Millar and Marilyn Morgan. She is preceded in death by her husband: Glen Taylor; stepson: Thomas Taylor; stepdaughter: Marianne Dabel; brother: J.D. Scott, Thomas Scott; sister: Martha Seigman.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 20, at 2:00 pm, at the Nickle Mortuary Chapel. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 12:30-1:40 pm. Burial will be in the Hinckley Cemetery.
