EvelynSkeem2.webEvelyn Rae Bliss Skeem, age 84, loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend; passed from the loving embrace of her family to the Eternal love of her sweetheart, Calvin, and son, Guy, on July 30, 2015, in Murray. Born February 15, 1931 in Hinckley, UT to Oren Vernon Bliss and Alice Hardy Bliss. Raised as a farm girl in Hinckley along side her 4 sisters and 3 brothers. She graduated from Hinckley high school in 1949. Married Calvin Cleon Skeem on January 10, 1951 in the LDS Manti Temple. Together they raised their 4 children in Salt Lake City and Midvale, Utah.

Mother was a true disciple of Jesus Christ and a loving example of kindness and charity. As an active member of the LDS church she faithfully fulfilled her many callings. Her greatest ability was in nurturing her children, grandchildren, and family. Her sense of humor and fun loving personality were shared and enjoyed by all those who knew her. Because of her, our lives have been forever changed for the better.

Survived by brothers: Dale Bliss (Marlene), Roger Bliss (Darlene); children: Shauna Smith (Paul), Holly Lamoreaux (Larry), Guy Skeem (deceased) (Lavon Evans), Cody Skeem (Robyn); 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband: Calvin Cleon Skeem; and son: Guy C. Skeem.

A viewing will be held at the East Midvale LDS Chapel, 87 E 7100 S Midvale, UT on Tuesday, August 4, 6:30-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 5, 11:00 am, at the Nickle Mortuary, 190 S Center, Delta, UT.  Friends may call 1 hr prior to services. Burial will be at the Oasis Cemetery.
