ClarkCook2.webBoyd Clark Cook, 90, of Orem, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2015, in Provo, Utah. He was born Aug. 25, 1924, to Lucene Clark and Echo Rose Sampson Cook in Delta, Utah. Clark attended school in Delta and helped out on the family farm. After school, he joined the Army and served as a member of the military police motorcycle squad during World War II.

He married Barbara Meacham on July 20, 1946, in Sutherland, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on June 25, 1957.  She passed away Nov. 27, 1996, after 50 years of marriage.

Clark and Barbara lived in Delta, where he worked for the Millard County Road Department as a heavy equipment operator. He later ran equipment for Utah State Road Department and worked for the Delta City Police Department. In 1963, he took a job with Utah County Road Department and moved his family to Orem. Clark loved what he did and will be remembered for his hard work and dedication.

He is survived by his children: Dennis (Cynthia), Pleasant Grove; Linda, Pleasant Grove, and Boyd (Ellen), Honeyville, along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, and son, Max.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 18, at 10 a.m., at the Nickle Mortuary in Delta. A viewing will be held Thursday morning prior to the service, 9-10 a.m.  Burial will be in the Delta Cemetery with military honors.

The family would like to thank a grandson, Justin Cook, for his care of Clark during the past several years.
