Shay Olson Rowley

Shay Olson Rowley, age 29, of Oak City, Utah, Adventurer, Explorer and spirited son of Stewart Loren Rowley and the late Kathy Olson Rowley, left his earthly home April 1st, 2015 due to injuries sustained from a tragic accident in Delta, Utah.

Born in Payson, Utah, on April 29, 1985, Shay quickly became the center of his family’s world and touching peoples’ lives forever. With many friends and family members at his side, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, sports, 49ers, Red Sox, and just hanging out with his friends. He was close to all of his nieces and nephews and will be missed tremendously by everyone he knew.

Whether chasing around with friends on wild adventures or hunting and camping trips with his family, he lived his life to the fullest and exactly as he wanted. Shayler, Shay bay, Shotgun Shay, Shay Bo, Shay… you are loved and missed deeply and will forever be remembered as a hero, friend, brother, and son.

Survived by his father: Stewart Rowley, Oak City; grandmothers: Elaine S. Olson, Oak City; Beulah W. Rowley Jensen, Deseret; siblings: Landon S. (Winter) Rowley, Oak City; Tiauna R. Simkins, St. George; Kalae T. (Ryan) Corry, St. George; Karson J. Rowley, Provo; many other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

Preceded in death by mother: Kathy O. Rowley; sister: Tarah Rowley; grandfathers: Wilburn Olson and Loren Rowley.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 8, at 11:00 AM, at the Oak City LDS Chapel. Viewings will be held on Tuesday evening, 6:30-8:00 PM, at the Nickle Mortuary; and Wednesday, 9:30-10:40 AM, prior to the service. Burial will be in the Oak City Cemetery.
