Fred “Grey” LaMont Works, age 70, passed away unexpectedly the morning of December 23, 2014. Fred was born August 15, 1944 in Murray, Utah, and adopted by his parents, LaMont and Leona Jackson Works. He graduated from Delta High School, and proudly served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Conflict.  Fred married Leslie Jane Thompson on April 30, 1985. He worked for the Millard County School District for 32 years and volunteered on the West Millard Sheriff's Posse for 28 years as well as the Hinckley Lion's Club and the Delta City Ambulance.  Fred enjoyed his retirement years spending time with family and friends in Delta and Fish Lake.

He is preceded in death by his father: LaMont; mother: Leona; and daughter: Kila. He is survived by his wife: Leslie; sister: Jessie Works; children: Sheri (Clark) Burr, Lynn (Shawn) Burd, Shawn (Cherish) Works, Andy (Jennifer) Thompson, and grandchildren: Gage, Maegin, McKade, Dalyn, Shiane, Braxton.

A viewing for his friends to gather will be held on Friday, December 26, 3:00 to 5:00 pm, at the Delta 3rd/4th Ward LDS Church, 197 South 300 West. This building has special meaning to the family as LaMont Works helped build it.   No funeral services will be held. Private Family graveside services will be held at a later time.
