Sandra Ella Skorbohaty Tuttle

Sandra “Sandy” Ella Skorbohaty Tuttle, age 72, passed on to rejoin her best friend, eternal love of her life, loving husband, Roger Frederick Tuttle (2006), on Sunday, April 13, 2014 in Delta, Utah. She was a devoted mother of Kurtis A. Tuttle of Delta, UT; Karlene A. Schmidt of Manchester, Tennessee; grandmother to Damen M. Ruschmeier/Tuttle, whom they raised for 8 years, and great-grandmother to Jessica Ruschmeier, also of Tennessee. She was the devoted daughter of the late Nellie Tess Kucak Newell (2004) and Maxim Skorbohaty (1952) of Lodi, New Jersey; stepfather: LaVerne G. Newell (1991); and granddaughter to the late Zophia and Theodore Skorbohaty of Lodi, NJ; and Eva and Stephan Kucak of Passaic, NJ.

Sandra was born on April 3, 1942 in Hackensack, New Jersey. She grew up in New Jersey, graduating from Lodi High School in 1960. She attended Drakes Business School in New Jersey, Sullivan Real Estate School, Fischer Jr. College and Cape Cod Jr. College in Massachusetts, while Roger was working at the Plymouth Boston Edison Power Plant. She also attended adult education classes in Santa Clara, California, where Roger was working for Smith-Emery, Inc. She and Roger were married August 7, 1976 at the United Church of Christ in Barto, Pennsylvania; and traveled and lived throughout the United States. They settled in Delta in 1982, due to Roger working for Bechtel, Inc at IPP. They used Delta as their home base. They were involved in the DHS Booster Club in 1983-85 and the Delta Community Church. They were also on bowling leagues together in Utah, Massachusetts, and California. She was a secretary and waitress in Jew Jersey and Pennsylvania, secretary also here in Delta at Acres West Real Estate, business and apartment manager throughout the years wherever Roger was working at the time. They lived, worked and traveled from Maine to Florida to Oregon, and Washington and lived in California for 8 years, and enjoyed the traveling and moving, sightseeing everything possible, visiting friends along the ways even going to the summit of Mt. Washington in New Hampshire to the Red Zone of Mount St. Helens until they retired back here in Delta in 1999.

She enjoyed archery/shotgun hunting; Roger was a rifle marksman in the Army. They enjoyed surf fishing on Cape Cod, Massachusetts to Half Moon Bay, California (Roger got his first and last deer here in Utah) and she cooked everything from lasagna to stuffed peppers, home cookin’. They moved her mom from Florida to Mesquite, Nevada in 2000 and laughed at her amazement at the mountains here. They took her back to New Jersey to be buried in 2004. They both attended Sandra’s 40th high school reunion in New Jersey and drove cross-country four times even though they were “frequent flyers”!!! They enjoyed life and loved to the fullest. “Big Much Forever and Always in All Ways”

A Memorial Service for both Sandra and Roger, will be held at the Delta Cemetery, at 11:00 am, on Saturday, April 19, where they will both be interred together for all eternity. Online condolences at www.nicklemortuary.com
